I was wondering if the Allison 1000 in our trucks was setup with "Preselect"? Is it possible that it would be pin J1-07? Would I have to supply +12V to this pin to use the "Preselect"?

The wire you are referring to is the TCC control which is tied to the ABS module and the Engine ECM. During an ABS event, TCC is unlocked to prevent a stall condition. All TCC operation is controlled by TCM software and calibration. Trying to modify this circuit will "hinder" transmission operation. "Manual shift" is not controllable. Pre-selects are determined by the TCM even when manually selected by you.
