The link below seems to indicate that the price increase for a 2003 2500HD LT CC is up about 3 to 4%. It's a little hard to tell because the package does include some things that were optional last year, ex- automatic AC controls are now included in the LT pkg. that was optional for about $125 on the 2002. The truck that I ordered is up about $1500 from a similar 2002. The Duramax seemed to go up $200, Allison remained same, as most other options did. No rebate either :(
Please don't tell me the 2003's are ugly. That's like telling a guy his fiance/wife is ugly. That just ain't right. :D

When I ordered mine the Fleet rep added 3% to the 2002 cost, and according to the redbook its about spot on.

The price of these trucks is getting unbelievable  How the heck is the working man suppose to get ahead!! I've been saving since I first heard about the Duramax(from this site I might add - mid 1999). Just when I think I'm getting close, they raise the price more. Well I guess the wife and I will just have to decide which kid will have to go ;) These prices may be in line with Ford on paper, but the street price of the F**d and D%$^e are a lot cheaper. With the other 2 offering improved diesels(still won't be as good as the Dmax) where does GM get off raising the price. They better hope the other 2 raise their price dramatically! Okay, Okay, sorry to rant. But I see my dream slipping away and I'm trying to hang on by my finger nails.

I went into the link posted above and compared a couple 2002 and 2003 models. Here's what I found.
2002 Chev 1500 4WD ext. cab plain jane: $26,697
2003 Chev 1500 4WD ext. cab plain jane: $26,742
a whopping $45 increase
2002 GMC 3500 4WD ext. cab plain jane: $31,869
2003 GMC 3500 4WD ext. cab plain jane: $31,769
a DECREASE of $100
All sounds pretty fair to me. The only options that incresed in price were the Duramax by $200, CD player by $60, and camper mirrors by 5 bucks. smile.gif

Ryan, you are right. I don't know how i got that. My bad. I editted my post. However, I have ordered a CC LT and the price is up $1,473 for the base LT Crew Cab and that is a 4.188% increase that does not include the $200 increase for the Duramax(approx. 1/2% of the total truck). I'm still looking at about 4.5% more for 2003. Please prove me wrong on this. :D They have made reported upgrades; brakes, electrical system, radio, interior, and sheetmetal. I just hope it proves to be worth the extra cost. Looks like the bells & whistles and luxury are going to cost a premium. Since you live in BC, you get the great Canadian Discount, heh?

The '03's have some thing included this year that were not last year.

On my truck price, the Fleet Rep took the '02 model price, added the prices on the features I wanted, added 3%, and its almost exact.

The only major difference was the DVD player wasnt $900, it was $1200. Everything else was spot on.

Budz, the MSRP only went up $200 for the identical one to mine. It works out to just about 1/2%. I too, was worried about the rumor of a 2 or 3% price increase so I went out and bought a late 02.

Oneton, Have you got your truck yet? I talked to a Bob Larson at Bill Buck Chevrolet in Venice this morning. He has a fully loaded 2WD CC Pewter w/ med. grey interior. He gave a fairly decent price before the $2500 rebate. He was about $900 above what I considered fair and told me to call back with a counter offer. But.. I talked to my local Fleet Sales Mgr. and was told it's too late to back out of my order. I could have saved about $4,000 on a 2002 considering the rebate and the $1500 jump on the 2003 LT. I'll wait and stay with my order.

I'm not real disappointed as I found out that my truck will be coming to life the week of August 5. Yes! I have my TPW. :D tongue.gif :D

DMAX Daddy, I couldn't get on the site to get prices. Were they comparable to the other site?

Budz, 2003 2500HD CC D/A, TPW 8/5 :D

budz,
all you have to lose is your deposit. Most dealers ask for $500 down, If it's not much more than that you can still save $3000+.

Just my .02

Budz, I've already signed the papers on the new truck. I just have to arrange delivery or pick it up in OH. Thanks for the offer though. I'm sure someone here will pounce on it quickly.

<on edit>
Budz, the crew cabs only have a rebate of 1000 + 500 bonus cash. Reg and Ex cabs are 2000+500 B>C. Is there a new offer that's not showing up on the Chevy.com website?

Budz,
you kind of have to be creative when logging in. Click on "Shop for Cars", enter an email addy, a zip code for a military installation, and use MWR for the organization. My fleet rep said to plug anything in to get it to work. smile.gif

Oneton, the dealer from Venice told me it was just raised to $2500.

From Carquotes.com:
2002 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab 153" WB 4WD Rebate: $2500 expires 9/3/02

Tune up your dealer to the tune of $1000 ;)
Hopefully you signed after the rebate was announced, and maybe the dealer isn't aware. I know you'll check it out.

Thanks Dmax Daddy, I'll try that.
