I just want my lockouts back. Never hurt me any to jump out of the truck before playing. It wouldn't cure the problem but I hardly put any miles on in 4X4.

I wonder if they make replacement tierods?

I can't see the link, but if they're what I'm thinking of, joints with a external ring that houses the bearings, it will probably be a long time before we see mass produced automotive applications. They have been tested in baja racing 4x4's and they are far superior to regular cv joints in torque load capabilities and joint angles, able to achieve angles far superior to c/v setups. IIRC the patent holders have exclusive production contracts that limit them for now to industrial applications. A shame they can't be mass produced for trucks, think of the problems with lifts that could be addressed. Ah well, maybe someday...

The link worked for me today. I read about that new Cornay joint a few months ago in 4wheel offroad. That is one solid looking cv joint. Too bad they will be big $$$$$$$ and limited general population production for the near future.

Oh, it's the Cornay. Yea, I've seen that too. Great for rock crawlers, and mud boggers, but might be a bit over kill for Joe Homeowner. :D
