Finally got some 2003 Pricing from the local dealer. (I've been looking at pre-owned, but hey, you never know when that lotto ticket's going to land :D )

For a 2003 GMC Sierra HD2500 SLT D/A CC SB 4x4, the Base price is $48,005 Cdn. D/Max is $6,610 Cdn., Allison $1,300 Cdn., Total $57,015 Cdn. ($37,345 US Greenbacks).

This is about +5.3% over the same spec 2002 model although Electronic Climate control is now included in the SLT. In Canada the only major option not in SLT spec is the DVD Entertainment package at $1,560 Cdn.. Leather & Power heated seats etc. are all standard.

Dealer also list some Special Solid Paint options which I'm not sure were on 2002's. No extra charge but 21 Day lead time. They are: Woodland Green, Doeskin Tan, Wheatland yellow & Tangier Orange. I'd have to see them to see how they look.

None on the lots up here yet.

Finally someone with Canadian pricing!! Did you get any other prices, base model or SLE? That's a big hike for the Duramax, was $6295 last year (when it first came out in late 2000 it was only $5695). Those four special colors are the same ones they've had for years. They're geared toward fleets and I think you have to order a certain number of trucks to get those colors.

Hi Ryan,

I agree the 5+% increase is a bit steep given that inflation is so low and that the economy is still in recovery mode. However, having seen some of the numbers quoted for 2003's on this site by those south of the 49th parallel, I think we'd better keep quiet!! ;)

Sorry, I only got SLT pricing but I'm told the dealers do have pricing now even if you have to pry it out of them. Can't understand why GM doesn't update their website with regard to truck (and I guess car) pricing, since you can no longer order 2002's anyway and the 2003's are released.

I suspected the colours were for fleet. Thanks for the confirmation.

Andy.

My GMC dealer got his prices on Friday, the 12th of July. We are always the last to get anything. So, everyone else should have them, now. I think Star Wars, the original, will be here next month. ;)
