Okay guys...got some pics of the truck with the new 6 inch ProComp lift and 37/12.5R/16 SuperSwampers. This thing is just HUGE now!
To give you an idea, there's a pic of me standing next to the driver's door mirror...I'm 5'11", and you can see where the mirror is!
There are also some pics of my truck up next to Silver Bullet's truck to give you an idea for comparison...
I just love how it turned out...gotta get some pics of it up next to the Vette now!

I love it!! If you are going to own a truck, make it a BIG truck! :D
Why did you pick the procomp over other lift systems. It looks like you may have some rubbing issues under full compression of the back tires in the wheel wells?
Again, Looks great.

Hi Blue...
Went with the ProComp because 4Wheel Parts was running a special...free install and free set of MX6 shocks w/purchase...couldn't pass that up!
Saved around 1100 bucks...
Don't think the rear tire rub will be a problem...not much susp. travel, and now that the angle-mounted spare is in there, the bed's pretty much useless, so I won't be loading it up...but hey, this truck is totally impractical, and that's why I love it so!!! ;)
Diva
Does your ex have anything left?? The clothes on his back at least ??
That is one sweet ride Diva !!!!!!!! You have great taste in Vehicles and modifications ......
Thumbs up to our resident DIVA !!!!
MAC :D :D :D
Very nice. Would be interested to hear what kind of mileage you get. RH looks better now.

I must say very impressive, I just got one question. With the lift does the ranch hand scrape on the hoods of the ricers or does it clear them. A pic of a D-Max parked on top of a ricer would be nice. :D Well enjoy your toys and please dont run over any cars when people are in them, unless they really asked for it.

Mac:
Don't you worry about my ex; he came out smellin' like a rose, believe me...but hey, at least I'm free to play with my toys now... :D
HDLD:
Haven't calculated mileage yet, but rest assured it has indeed suffered...oh well, chalk up another point for impracticality!
MadMax:
Can't tell ya about 35's...these are 37's! ;)
Meister:
The Banks tip now has the perfect trajectory for floodin' those open-windowed Hondas with Juicy soot...teehee!

Nice lookin rig. A couple questions, how do you like the super swampers? I think that are the ssr, I have riden and driven sx, tsl and the tsl radials, but not the ssr. Also did you do any re gearing?? I don't knwo what is out there for the rear end, other than the gassers 4.10 gears. If this great truck is so impractical, when are you going to add more performance goodies to it?? Say like propane, nos!! Then if a little honda racer happens to get in front of you, then you could always run them over.

Thanks for the responses...I've had several folks stop me and ask about it, and they are always amazed that it's MY truck! "I just can't believe that a lady like you drives a truck like this" seems to be the popular response...
I've had so much fun with this thing, and yes, I HAVE been considering adding propane...but think I'll do the triple-shocks first (yeah, I know...like I NEED them...)
DMD >>> :D
DIVA,
how muh did the lift run you ? I am thinking of the same thing, but wit 35's. Does the front bumper mod allow you to go to 37's ?
Did they have any problems with alignment ?
Nice ride.

sweet ride
just a warning i had the procomp 6" with 35" tires and under full compression the tires were very close to rubbing just a warning
now i am sporting a 10" lift and 38" tsl radials under full compression have lots to spare
these trucks are not impractical at all i still haul a 24 foot bumper tow trailer with anything and every thing on it plus haul my atv or sled or sportbike in the box its just a little more challanging
the biggest plus is you can go to that busy mall or what ever and park anywhere you want on a ford dodge or curb, bus stop, people etc you get the pic
it may be big but with what i have in to the truck i cant afford to look at it
check out my ride at http://community.webshots.com/user/duramaxdan
enjoy our ride

Super Sized Dmax,
Nice looking truck :D
Where did you get your suspension kits from (and how much $$$ if you don't mind) ? And what kind is the 10inch? Did you like the 6" procomp but just wanted more hieght? I have a sprung over Land Cruiser for the serious off roading and was thinking about the 6" procomp for the Chevy. I know, when it comes to suspension lifts, I always want more but in a CC truck for the serious stuff I'll grab the short wheel base toyota. Any recomendations would be great.

Hi Dan:
Wow...your truck is AWESOME!!!
I wanna know how in the heck you climb in that thing...my lift and tires have made climbing up into mine a virtual olympic event, and I cannot imagine the pole-vault a 10inch lift w/38's must be!!!

lifted is by whiplash suspensions about 7500 canadian and a whole lot of waiting took me 8 months to get. the procomp was great and big but a rolling billboard that catches eyes like i do now helps the busniess out great
dmaxdiva
look real close under the doors for a small silver step you open the door the step folds down about 12" close the door the step folds up
(kodiack sidewinder steps)

DivaDMAX,
How much more noise and vibration did these tires add in the cab? I got registered here on the TDP, this is Robert in Fort Worth.

ski:
Lift AND 37's ran around 3k out the door. Lift alone would have run a bit less than 2k. No alignment probs that I know of; truck was aligned just before I picked her up.
SB:
:D
Robert:
No vibration at all, and only a moderate but reassuring "hum" on the freeway. Doesn't bother me a bit...matter of fact, I can still clearly hear the turbo whistling away (thanks again, SB!)

Is the speedo reading right??
Here is some speedo numbers
5=6.1 10=12.1 15=18.2 20=24.3 25=30.3 30=36.4
35=42.5 40=48.5 45=54.6 50=60.7 55=66.7 60=72.8 65=78.9 70=84.9 75=91 80=97 85=103.1
90=109.2 95=115.2 100=121.3
So this could have an affect on your mpg.

Hey 4x4! Nice rig! Tell me a little about your billet grill...manufacturer, where did you get it, did you have to cut out the honeycomb, etc....
Thanks!
Silver Bullet,
I did have to cut out the honeycomb out of the grill, but to be honest i did it so long ago i dont remember what brand it was or how much it was :( The place that did it here in Baytown went out of business so I dont know what to tell ya....I have heard they are making them now where you dont have to cut the grill out, have you seen one of those?
Diva, sweet rides...I wish I had a vette or hummer to go along with my HD ;)
