No Reverse

Hey guys, I have a 01 3500 CC LOngbed, 50,946 miles. Had a new Tranny at 700 miles,Yep. It has worked fine untill today. I parked for 15 mins. started up and reverse was not working,moved the selector up and down,and it worked fine. Anyone else have this Happen?? Supose to leave MON. towing 32' 5th wheel through L A area. Oh Man Oh Man. Any Ideas??? Help Help.

it sounds like a tranny speed sensor failure. Any message in the DIC or was the PRNDL flashing? There are three speed sensors,(input speed, turbine speed and putput speed sensors) and the problem needs to be duplicated while monitoring the sensor data w/ a tech 2 to detemine which is to blame, if in fact this is what is happening. There is a bulletin on this, # PI02113. If your in good standings w/ your dealer, you may be able to get this goodwilled but they must be able to duplicate it to diagnois it. the sensors should go for about $70 @ the dealer so it may be cheaper from an Allison shop if your dealer won't cover it or if you can diag it yourself.

No Reverse.!!!!!!!

I made the short trip 220 miles and had no Problems getting it into reverse, must have been a Fluke. I've been on the forum quite a bit, even though the topics don't pertain to me,it is a Great Site.
