Done a bunch of them, very straight forward job. looks scary with the big bag of parts they give you but not a big deal.

Well, Mark, I've got an economical solution for you! Since you only use the truck once a month or so, I'm sure some of the other folks here on TDP and I would be very happy to keep that torque converter full for you and the tires rotated and the steering exercised - just keep the tank full and the key under the mat and tell us where to pick her up! :D ;) tongue.gif

One of the questions I have on fixing this problem is - what if you have converted over to Transynd or Amsoil or another specialty oil. Will GM replace that oil with what you installed aftermarket or are you out of some cold hard cash for your troubles?

the only time i take the keys out is when i go to austin, we live out in the country where nobody takes their keys, even on sunday during church. thanks, mark

A good one should at least make an effort to save as much as possible, that drain plug is good for something. You might loose 3 or 4 quarts but that is better then all 4-5 gallons. If you were in a situation like that, be sure to make the dealer aware of it
