Truck advice needed....

Howdy
I'm not new to the DP, but am new to the new style trucks. My step-father is looking at getting a 2003 2500 HD Duramax Allison. The truck is VERY clean with only 32,000 miles. Any common problems that these trucks have? I test drive it today and it seems OK, the trans seems a little fluttery, and it didn't seem to have the snort that my truck has.
All help and advice or tips or info is GREATLY appreciated!

Your GM dealer has access to the warranty repair history of this truck using the GM Vehicle Inquiry System. Your dealer only needs to do a lookup on the truck's VIN, to verify whether or not the truck you're looking at has been a problem for its previous owner. The only time you have any real leverage with the dealership is before you sign the papers, so I'd make this a condition of sale.
