Awhile back I had installed the B&M SuperCooler, biggest one they make, after much driving in the sub tropics, and even high desert, I can only say I like it!
I wanted to know when, if ever, the fan on the unit would come on, so, I attached an LED to find out. This SuperCooler has a SPAL fan, curved blades and pulls about 600 cfm, activated by a 160 deg thermostat installed into the units core (at top).
Well, the fan never turns on. At first I suspected the thermostat as the reason for the fan not turning on, so I whip out a hair dryer , set it on hot, heat the thermostat and the fan turns on, so its working.
I have not towed anything for any great distance, so when I do, I will report the results.
