Hi,
Picked up my 2004 crew cab yesterday this truck is incredible.Only problem is a creaking noise from the steering column when the wheel is moved very slowly in either direction. When the wheel is moved quickly back and forth noise is not apparent. Any body had this problem and if so what was the fix? It sounds to me like it could be the slip rings and contacts in the back of the steering wheel. Minor point but annoying. The Allison transmission is phenomenal and works really well with the duramax.
