Anyone know one way or the other if this will be offered with the crew cab? If not how much more axle weight (gooseneck) will the longbed version take over the 2500HD?

The 2500HD has a GVW of 9200lbs, the 3500 is 9900lbs. The limiting factor on both of them is the pathetic tire choice. The 245/75-16 E tires carry 3042lbs each, regardless of which model they are on. To me the big reason to do it is lisence plate cost. In some states the 3500 will carry a wieght rated plate which is about 1/3 the cost of the standard plates.

3500 SRW trucks have E rated 265/75/16s @ 3415lbs. We have gobs of them at work.

Good to know Chevy finally got it right. Ford has been using that size since 1999. That is also the size my '01 d-max rode for two years, looks better, works better, should have been that way from the start.
