With 35k I took my truck into the shop last week. I had one leaf spring cusion missing. I went on a test drive with the shop mgr. I had a slight hesitation while driving at any speed. I didn't know if it was the shocks (original) or the ecm /tcm. He said it was the rough road we were on (it was). So I mentioned the launch shudder while towing. "Hummmmm" he says. I'll check and see if any service advisory. :D I left the truck and they flashed the ecm. When I picked it up he said they were to replace all leaf spring pads with the new boots and replace the drive shaft with the one piece shaft. Took it back yesterday and picked it up last night. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The hesitation is gone. IMHO I can say I think the two piece shaft would have eventually failed. They replaced it with an aluminum flag pole. That thing is huge! I know I still need new shocks but the ride has improved a lot. smile.gif

^... I have said this for over a year now. Some just don't get it though. Glad you got the drive component fixed and are a happy camper. The flash is all important, but.........

NutNbutGMC....How True!!! I've been of the same old mind set in the past; "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," but now I've learned that's usually not the wise thing to do. Just because it was not broken, the upgrade was the wise and safe thing to do. Upgrade's should be thought of as preventive maintenance.
