After discovering the dead harmonic balancer on the truck I started poking around to see what else may be amiss. The downpipe was loose at the turbocharger. I could move the downpipe back and forth a couple of inches quite easily. I figured no problem I'll just tighten the V-band clamp on the turbo. Well, the V-band is as tight as it gets and the downpipe is tighter but still moves. H'mmmmm..... Maybe I need a new V-band clamp? I didn't know they wore out but I suppose its possible? Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks, RT
