Strange Noise

I don't know if anyone else has heard this noise. If I am sitting in the truck for a while after I shut it down and it's quiet, I'll hear what sounds like a small motor or fan running from inside the dash, It will run for about two minutes and then shut down. Sometimes it restarts again later.
I know I'm not hearing things.

I remember a post describing a cooling fan on the OEM radio making such a noise under the circumstances you describe - I've never heard it in my truck though...

Haven't noticed it yet in my '02.
Noticed it a few times though in my '00.
If sitting in truck for awhile, say 15 minutes, with radio on, sounded like a small fan that ran for about a minute. Not loud enough to hear with motor running though.

I believe it is the radio/amplifier cooling fan. Mine does it.
