Costco has a small price reduction at the end of the month on Michelin tires. They looked up the proper tire for my truck and came up with 225x85x16 load range E. I told them my truck came with 215s but still reccomended 225. Anyone know if the 225 will work ok? Never heard anyone mention them on the forum yet.

We don't get snow here but lots of gravel roads and rain. Will the XPS rib work OK?

Redhawk, I believe that Mackin has the xps ribs on his dually. I know Michelin has excellent tires and I think you would be happy with them. Mackin used the 235 but looks like he put in spacers to avoid any rubbing between the two rear tires. Just find any of Mackin's posts and click on his D/A pictures at the bottom of his sig. Happy travels.

I'm using 235s on the back of my dually, no spacer and no rubbing.

Your stock 215/85r16 tire will be a little taller and narrower than the 225/75r16 tire at cosco. I think they would be about 1/2 an inch difference in height and width is all. The cosco tire should work fine.
