I have heard a "clunking" sound while switching from Foward to reverse and back to forward. I know the trans "ker-chuck" sound, but this is different. I slammed my parking brake down and looked under the truck while shifting. I noticed that my drive-shaft turns about 1 ot 1&1/2 times before it stops? Is this the norm for a G-80 rear? It's about to go to the dealer for repairs...er...falty workmanship. The "top of the line" sound system jumps from XM (1) to FM (1) at random. The thing is "drinking" fuel and getting "really" bad fuel economy. To top it off, it feels week and shows it in lack of performance.

If your driveshaft is turning 1 to 1 1/2 turns without wheel movement, something's broke! Plain and simple. better get it in before it grenades on you. Don't walk. Run to the dealer!

I agree with Maverick--broken cross pin or some other major malfunction. Get it to the dealer ASAP
