The passenger-side flipout window on my '01 Ext. Cab appears to have lost it's ability to make a tight seal, creating excessive wind noise. When the latch is snaped into the lock position the rear of the glass actually moves outward a fraction of an inch, causing this problem. It doesn't look to me like the latch is adjustable and the dealer says I'll need to replace the entire window/Latch assembly since it is "one piece" at a rather large cost.

Anyone have any ideas for a more economical fix?

Dealers around here use an outside company to fix there wind and water leaks. A year ago I had my roof lights sealed up and the guy asked me if the rear windows were okay for wind noise. I told them they were okay and he even checked the latches himself. This would lead me to think that it may be a fairly common occurance. I would think the dealer should do what ever is necesary to fix them properly at no cost to you. That is what I would ask for.
