I took the truck to Jim Cook Chevy in Marion, NC, today. I had three requests. One was to fix the squeaky clutch pedal. Second was to look at my 3rd door squeak/noise and third to look at the slight bump feel in the steering wheel (it didn't really bother me, but with the new fix out I figured why not with only 5k left on the warranty). They ordered a new clutch pedal assembly, a new latch or some type of thing for the 3rd door and got the kit for the steering wheel. I'll let ya'll know how it goes. So far it's been a good experience they didn't try to sugar coat any of the problems.

BADDMAX,
If possible, could you post a pic of the clutch pedal assy after its removed. Mine has been squeeking since 2001 but it dosen't bother me that much. If I saw what this assy looked like, maybe I could come up with a permanent fix.

I'll see what I can do. I take the truck in Wednesday morning. Who else has had their clutch pedal replaced and if so, does it still squeak?? I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that this fixes the problem. I've put up with it since 2000 miles and now the odometer reads 31,800 miles.
Get those pictures in! Our warranties will be up soon and we will figure out a way to replace those plastic bushings with bearings and grease fittings! Don't worry about having to pull the dash. I'm sure the first to do it will let in on the tricks. smile.gif

Got the truck back and all is fine. The entire clutch pedal and slave cylinder assembly has been replaced. NO SQUEAK... YET.. lol... I didn't get any pictures because I forgot to charge the batteries in my digital camera. They did a real good job. This clutch pedal has a much better feel to it compared to the old one. I'll keep ya'll informed about the squeak if it returns.
