I have a set of Michelin 265/75-16 LTX A/T's that came off of my K1500 truck. They only have about 2000-3000 miles on them and I liked the performance that they gave me on my '95 Z-71 Diesel truck. I don't haul much weight or tow with the truck and want to know if I can use them without any problems on stock rims. I also want to see how much better they look then the stock tires that it was delivered with, without spending the $600 or so for a new set of tires.
1> They are only rated for 2470lbs. each max load.
2> Michelin recommends wheel widths from 7-8 inches.

I had the same tires on my 2001 and they were great using my PYO's for 40000 mi.
Cheers

Thanks for the replies.
I thought I may have problems up front with the weight of the Duramax. I always liked the tires and haven't seen anything similar in a D or E rating.

I to will only buy a set of LTX AT'S but I will not put any thing other then a load range E! If you hang a plow on the front your getting VERY close to the load rating of the tire.Plus you need 45~50 psi just to support the EMPTY weight of these trucks!!! Try to trade them in and get the right tire. Or sell them on Ebay? FYI michelin doesnt sell the LTX AT in a 265? the only choice we have is 245-75-16E or 235-85-16E ...they make a OEM LTX for dodge that is a 265 E but its not as agresive tread....02!

I have LT265/75R16 LTX A/T's on my truck.

If you go to this link:

http://www.michelin.ca/ca/eng/local/catalog/docs/doc_ltxat.pdf

you can see that they do make
Michelin LT265/7516 LTX A/T tires.

I have had no problems with mine on stock rims however I do not haul or tow anything with this vehicle. The link is a Canadian site maybe that will make a difference I don't know.

I run the 265's on my truck. They are the 10 ply. Load range E. Found them on Tirerack.com and was quite pleased with the price and installer they recomended. :D

Since they are tires that I already have in the shed, I am going to have them put on this week. My major concern was that I don't know how much weight there is on the front tires. I thought that someone here must have tried them on the PYO wheels. I just wished Michelin would make the A/T's in LT265/75-16E, it seems to be a popular size & rating. How much more could they cost?

Michelin may be waking up to the bigger sizes with a 265/75 E and a 285/75 D in the LTX MS. It should not be a problem to build the same size tire in an AT tread pattern. I'm looking seriously at some Nittos!
