Air from the vents has never been cold so I put a refrigiration thermometer in the vent to gather data. In 90 degree temperatures, and operating in recirculation mode, the vent would not go below 60 degrees. The stealer worked on it and did numerous things including changing the cycle switch. It was then even worse. They worked on it again and it did not get better. The third time they changed the cycle switch again and now I get 45 degree air where I was getting 60 and it sure feels good. Stealer said they have had many defective new switches. But, I still have to keep turning on the recirculation switch to get cold air.

Even the new, replacement switch was defective? I've had this same problem with my truck (lukewarm vent temps, even on recirc), and finally got the stealer to replace the low-side pressure switch. Didn't help.
My service writer seems to be willing to have the techs spend some time on it, as long as I'm willing to leave it with them for a few days. I've had it in 3 different times now for lackluster AC performance.

They finally fixed it by replacing the switch which cycles the compressor on and off, although it took two replacments to get one that worked. The shop foreman said just because a switch is new does not mean it is good. The switch is easy to replace, it took them about 10 minutes.
