At 350 miles, my truck made it's 1st trip back to the dealer to get worked on. I picked the truck up Friday evening & the A/C never discharged air colder than 75 deg F all weekend (98 deg + days in Dallas area this weekend!!!).
Looks like there were a couple of problems:
1) According to the Service Mngr, a lot of the trucks have been over charged with 1.8 - 2.0 lbs R134 at the factory. It should be 1.1 lbs down here in the south according to him.
2) As noted on this forum & per the Svc Mgr, some of the 2003's have had faulty pressure switches installed at the factory.
With a build date of mid June for me, We thought that the P-switch issues should have been solved, but it was replaced anyway.
The end result:
The truck now has 1.1 lbs R134 coolant & a new pressure switch. A/C was cooling at 50 deg F according to my handy dandy temp probe inserted into the drivers side A/C vent (Mon @ 6:00pm). The REAL test will be at lunch today, but it is cooling 1000% better so far. ;) I believe it will be OK from now on, but more testing is required. (Darn, this means I HAVE to drive my new truck  :D ).
