Tommy Turbo,
In a previous post on cabin air filters, you mentioned two filters, one being charcoal. When I ordered filters from dealer, I got two packages (each containing two filters), one set being charcoal.
When I removed filters from vehicle, they were both the same plain filters. Is one of the filters supposed to be charcoal? No one else has posted about charcoal filters.
When I changed my filters on the 02 both filters were a filter material neither were charcoal.
It is probably up to you if you want to use the charcoal or not...it is probably a better filter agent, it is usually used to reduce smells in the air.

But since the filters mount end to end and not on top of each other 1/2 the air goes through each filter. If you had a charcoal filter and a plain filter at best 1/2 the air goes through the charcoal unit. But more likely more of the air will go through the filter with the least resistance.

Sorry been out of town. You should use the filters in matched pairs only. The charcoal will help on removing odors from cabin. Original filters are not charcoal.
I'm confused.
I just changed my cabin filter and when I looked up in the Helm's Manual it only listed one. Under the dash by the blower. Where is the other one?
Thanks

They are both there in the same spot under the dash mounted end to end. You have to reach in and pull the 2nd unit out of there.

I just replaced my cabin filters last month with FRAM units that I bought at NAPA. They were part number CF8791 and listed as "Cabin Air Filter." $29.91, two in the box and they were *both* carbon filters.
