One ton SRW, new Duramax, souds like a treat! Does anyone know if the new 3500 SRW will be available in a short box ex cab or short box crew cab configurations? Thanks

It will be available in all cabs, but long box only. No short box. No cab/chassis, only box delete. This is according to the GMC and Chevy sites.

Actually the Chevrolet site doesn't list it for sale. At least not where I can find it. Edmunds doesn't list it either.
And the link on this page requires some kind alternate password, even for paid members.

If you go to the build your own section of Chevy or GMC's sites and start building a 3500, look for the GVWR option. There two options, 9900 lbs(srw) and 11,xxx(dooley).
I am still a little confused. Will the LLY motor be available in the 2500HD this year? Or only the 3500 srw?

The LLY is replacing the LB7 in all applications. The LB7 will no longer be available as a new option. There are variations on the motor for M/D use, but I haven't seen the designations yet.
