Gona do this this weekend, bought the new (white cover) and am going synthetic. Don't expect it is difficult but haven't done it before. Any helpful hints or techniques?
Thanks,
Bob

son of a gun, When installing the vent cover, I like to put a small bead of rtv sealer around the threads, a SMALL bead. I do this only because we have seen the vents loosen up and leak and this kind of acts like a threadlock to keep it from loosening. Its nothing GM says to do, but I have done it many times and have had good results.
Also, make sure you hand start it and carefull not to overtighten it, it will strip. Other then that, its all straight forward, I use a deep socket, 3 inch extension and a flex ratchet if it helps. I cant remember exactly what size though
I also used a bit of sealer. My tech. cranked the wheels all the way to the left to improve excess.
