I have just replaced my Thermal linear Actuator
with a Manual type, similar to the Posi Lock system. My question is, for anyone who has fitter a Posi-Lock or manual system. I am trying to detemine, the amount of effort required to engage
the manual system.
I have a pull cable, to engage the lock, but it takes some effort to actuate.
For those who have a manual system, how easy/hard
have you found the manual, cable system.
Any feed back is appreciated, Neg or Pos.

That will depend on your arm strength! Assuming the cable is operating freely, it should require little effort. Curious as to why you didnt update the the electric actuator but then i remembered that they didnt have one for the 8600lb gvw trucks.

dmaxalliTech; The arm strength along with the free
flow cable could be right. Maybe I need an actuator to operate the cable actuator.
The TLA- is worth $400 Aus. I have made my own
manual actuator, the cable doesn't pull from the
L/S or Diff housing, as with the posi-lock.
I have made a 90degree pivot, so that the cable can be located on the Drivers side (RH Drive).
I may have to extend the Cable side of the pivot
arm, could be the leverage, equasion.
I have noticed that for one inch of movement of the actuator rod, requires half an inch of cable pull. I guess I have just answered my own question.
Thanks for you response- dmaxalliTech.
