I have a 2001 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 with a towing package. Yesterday driving home on the highway doing aboyt 75 mph the A/C kicked off. The outside temp was 89 and the trans temp was just under 200 the motor was running about 200. This is the second time this has happen the other time I was towing a load with conditions about the same. Had the trans filter change out, had no other problems but that was during colder weather. What going to happen when it really starts to ge warm? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds to me it's an A/C not an overheating or tranny problem. I'd get the freon level checked. When the freon is low and things get hot the system will shut down.
