As soon as I bought my truck, I knew I wanted the 265/75/16 tire. However, new tires for a new truck wasn't an option. I picked up a set of 265/75/16/E Firestone's from a Ferd for free. I like the added capacity of an "E" rated tire in this size, 3400 lbs -vs- 3000 for the stock tires. I have been torn between either the Michelin with the "E" rating or a BFG All Terrain with the "D" rating. I have been extermely happy with the many BFG tires I have purchased over the years. I really like the BFG All Terrain for durability and looks. Now BFG offers the Rugged Trail in an "E" rating. (By the way, if any BFG people are reading, MAKE THE ALL TERRAIN IN AN "E" RATING so Ferd owners have something good about their truck) Anyway you can see the tire at http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgapp/catalog/tires/ruggedtrailta***p. So would somebody please go out and test these and report back.

The forum software keeps changing the text of the link. After the ta in the link should be followed by . j s p without spaces.

a friend of mine has these on an Cummins powered '03 Dodge 3500SRW. I'll ask him about how they're wearing and if they seem to give enough traction.

Myself personally, I wouldn't buy something from a French company. Not now.

Check my sig for an excellent AT tire. I couldn't be more pleased with them.

Jim Wilson,

I did a Google search on "Nitto terra grapplers" and the first thing that came up was one of your posts...

Nitto paid me a lot of money for that distinction. :D

Dmax6spd: Seriously, about the All-Terrain BFG's; They are not E-rated because they are not 10 ply, but if you look at the load rating they ARE the same weight rating as a E range tire.

I have a set of 265/75/R16 tires on my F350 PSD & they ride nice, & quiet & get a lot of traction.

They have an advantage over almost ANY tire, 3 Ply sidewalls, makes for resistance to rock cuts & the such..

Just my $.02 cents worth..
