Sometimes when I accelerate from a standing position and then release the accelerator suddenly then hit it again my Chevy 2500HD Duramax 6600 reacts funny. It seems like it is slipping and then clunks or bangs. I've not experienced any slippage at start up but my truck very seldom sits for more than two days without being driven. I read somewhere about a neutral positioning switch on the Allison transmission going bad. Just what is it and what is it's function.
