I was told they are the same design. True or False? If not why one over the other?

All I can say is that the results from Bilstein have been AWESOME...

I'll second Mr. Kennedy, the Bilsteins are great! I just bought a complete set from him about a month ago (a last minute rush shipment for which he chastized me), anyway very easy to change, took little over a hour for all 4. Little firmer when running empty, feels like more positive control. When pulling the 30ft fiver really made a difference! Just got back from a Vancouver WA to Yellowstone NP trip, over 2400 miles round trip, they were great. I'ld highly reccomend them to anyone.

I don't know about truck applications, but car applications there is no comparison between the Bilsteins and the KYBs. The Bilsteins are far superior in performance and longevity. I will assume this is also true in the truck world. I have Bilsteins on my dually. smile.gif
