4 quarts or 1 gallon. Syntorq recommended by most.

StandardTransmission.com or quad4x4.com are sources or price shop local chevy AND Dodge dealers.

Actually I am putting Redline MT90 in it. I had it in before but changed to Amsoil when I had the trans out to do the input seal. The Redline MT90 makes it shift buttery smooth. Thanks, RT

I don't know really if its that important but saw a chart somewhere on acceptable lubes and the Redline products brand I thought was suppose to use a mix of 2 blended together MT90 sounds like one and dang I can't remember the other or the ratio.

Yep, the story I heard was shifting in cold weather was part of problem and synchro's wear.

Hubert,
Yup you're right, Redline confirmed 2qts of MTL and 2qts of MT90. Had Redline before and it shifted really nice. Changed out the input shaft seal and used Amsoil since I couldn't get Redline at the time. Doesn't shift as well with Amsoil but I left it in for 50K anyway. Redline going back in shortly. Never used the Lucas product but I hear its pretty good. RT
