They've been selling those for a few weeks now. $36 + shipping is really steep - I can't believe people fall for this. They sell for $12-13 at stanadyne dealers!!!! You really have to watch out on ebay for some of these "deals"......

$36 plus shipping is a royal hosing, IMHO.

I could not resist emailing one of the victims, hoping he/she could find a way to pull out of the "deal."

Do those resistors really work. I just bought a new FSD and a aluminium cooling box. Should I also look into those to keep the FSD cooler?

Duck,
The resistor "corrects" the fuel delivery for variation in the elctronics of the IP (probably mostly in the fuel solenoid) so each pump is supposed to be "matched" w/a resistor value from 1 to 9.
Most just install a #5; those who want a teeeeny bit more fuel go w/a #9. If you don't have one you will get a DTC for missing resistor. There should be one in your pump-mounted fsd connector socket that you can fish out using a bent paper clip or snap ring pliers. Or you can add the remote fsd w/a #5 or you can read the number on your PMD & buy a resistor of that value from Stanadyne for $15 for your new FSD.
