Thanks to JK & BMDMAX for helping to dial in the truck last Friday.

More yet to do, but having the experts around helped a bunch.... What's next? At a minimum - locking front diff, lower the front suspension, and More Power... :D

How did you do at making the turn to the return lane? Looked like you did OK. I was getting to where I really needed to stand on the brakes trying to slow my "land yacht" in time...

I was glad to see that cool truck in the 12's. Once you get it hooking low 11's will be there with ease!

I had to use mine at the track and I still ended up with a bit of rubber on the 1/4 panels

The track was a little slippery, but 4WD seemed to do a good job. I could hear the tires sing when going into 5th lockup at about 90 mph.

This truck as an 8-1/2" front diff, which appears able to do the job in straight line acceleration. With a locker, the launches could be a lot stronger and with more control. The open front diff required a light touch on the go pedal to prevent wheel spin in first gear, which would make the truck jump around. 60 ft times suffered. However, once in second, all 508 hp and 1028 lb-ft of torque could be brought online. It was a rush... :D

You guys start running in the 11's, 120 or so you better start considering a roll cage.

The wife would prolly shoot me if I wrecked the truck at the track anyway... :D On a serious note, the DHRA does require rollbars/cage for the faster performance levels.

The launches are the trickiest part of a run. Once in second gear, the truck handles the run very well.

With the open front if you broke a front shaft on launch it would probably be easy enough to control, but with a locker if you break one and the turbo is all spooled up already, getting disqualified for crossing the line may be the least of your worries. I've been drag racig most of my life and turned hard left or hard right breaking rear wheel drive stuff, better have quick reactions. Also had clutch packs crack on a posi-trac one fine Saturday night and it kept shifting the power back and forth from side to side, talk about a wild ride. Let off--noway! The announcer at the track was going nuts about sideways racing for time,----but both sides????.
Have fun be safe.
