towing fuel econmy

I have heard that putting a high rise topper on the bed of my truck I should get better fuel economy pulling my 28 foot enclosed trailer. Does anybody have any experience or data going from an open bed to the high rise topper?

I have a 16' covered utility trailer that stands about 8' tall. I noticed about a 4 mpg diffence when towing with my cab high cap.
