Hi to all; newbie here; I love the Diesel Page Forums. I found it serfing the net and you all have helped me while I recovered from a heart attack. I finally was able to go on a trip this year with my new Durmax pulling our 34' Airstream; I was surprised at the ease it pulled this 10,000lb trailer. We traveled almost 1200 miles round trip and there was only one hill going and coming where it down shifted; got 14.2 miles per gal and I am a happy camper. The truck drives and handles like a dream; Love it.

Ned,
Glad to hear your doing well!!!
That's pretty darn good, 14.5 towing 10,000 lbs.....
I'll be towing about 7500 lbs. & I was wondering how I would make out with fuel mileage.
I have a 2500 HD D/A CC on order & can hardly wait till it comes in around Christmas....
Happy camping. Paul

I've got a 2003 CC and pull a 9300 lb. Arctic Fox 30 U. It is a travel trailer that is 30 ft. with a full slide and bedroom closet slide.

This combo pulls great. Use Equal-i-zer hitch.

This summer went on an 1800 mile trip out west. Oregon, No. Calif, Nevada and Eastern Oregon. Great time and averaged 11.5 miles. Several hills and no problems with heat, power, and comfort.

What mph were you going? I had mine set on 65 mph and just relaxed; enjoyed the ride.
