Hi, I have a 1997 chevy suburban 4x4 with a 6.5 turbo diesel, 4.10 rears and a gear vender over/under drive. I pull a 34' travel trailer that weights 8500 lbs. My trans is starting to give me problems and camping season is just around the corner. I am looking for the best trans I can buy for my application. Any input would be very helpful

Thanks
JohnS

Check the price on a ceta unit from the dealer, they have a great warranty as well and is covered at any dealer.

I would definately stick with the 4l80e that your truck came equipped with. These tranny's can be modified to handle a lot of abuse. Also check out JET transmission.I've heard great things about them ,and they have built 4l80e's in stock I beleive.

I would go with either Joey's or Keith's suggestion. GM has a warranty that will stand up at any GM dealer. Not sure about Jet's warranty, but they have a good reputation. Just curious, How many miles on your transmission?

Jasper, Jasper, Jasper 3yr, 75000miles warranty parts and labor! Jasper also updates the units w/ all the factorys latest revisions including case machineing if called for, your local builder and small companies can't afford the tooling. Good quality good people. bob...
