This year's TDP Rendezvous was held on June 14-15, 2003 here in Western Montana, and was attended by more than 100 TDP members, family and invited guests. Located just outside of Missoula, Montana, the accommodating JellyStone Park campground became home to our group for the duration of the weekend. What follows are a few photos and member profiles that help illustrate what a Rendezvous is all about.

Texaco/Havoline Dex-Cool
Engine Coolant Facts & Critical Information
By Jim Bigley

http://www.thedieselpage.com/members/features/dexcool.htm

GM made the switch to the new orange-colored Texaco/Havoline Dex-Cool in the 1996 model year due to it's longer service cycle, longer water pump seal life, high temperature aluminum protection, and a higher coefficient of heat transfer. Recently, a bit of a controversy has developed concerning engine and cooling system corrosion involving some GM vehicles using Dex-Cool long-life coolant. This article looks at the facts from both sides of the issue, and discusses whether we as GM diesel owners need to be concerned.

We are waiting to run a new Ford and Dodge, so we can have that info in the article. I feel it's important enough to wait.

We have access to a new Ford. Getting a squeamish Dodge owner to pull is what is taking the time. We may run without a Dodge.... I should know in a week or less.
