Guages

[Clark's diesel]

I am looking at guages for my 94 6.5. I was just wondering about the trans. temp guage. Will 8 feet of tubing be enough to route it into the cab and into an A-pillar pod? Maybe I should buy the electric one instead? Thanks for thoughts and comments.

I put an electric transmission temperature gage in my truck. I have totally pleased with it, and you are correct, wire is easier to route than is tubing.

I was thinking about the mechanical vs. electric gauges after another recent post. Typically they say the mechanical are more accurate. But then I started thinking about the plumbing and wondered how accurate something like a tranny temp gauge would be with six to eight feet of tubing in between...

Any thoughts?
