Are exhaust headers a good performance improvement for a n/a 6.2? I noticed you did not use them for your truck. Do they improve cylinder air charging. If so what are key design characterisics to consider?
thanks,
Les

Headers for our NA trucks are expensive (not many sold, must amortize development costs). And they are chrome plated so will rust pretty fast - and to have the chrome removed and replaced with Jet Hot or similar ceramin-metallic coating will make the headers even more expensive.

In my opinion, at the relatively low revs our truck engines turn, the very slight improvement in exhaust flow is not worth the money, time and efforts to install headers and modify the rest of the exhaust to accomodate them.
