I scored a complete 92 J engine with a 599 block yesterday. As far as I can tell its rebuildable, no cracks and crank looks good.

I'm planning on building it to replace the C engine in my 92 K2500 and adding a Banks kit at that time.

Should I go straight to a 6.5L standard bore, or keep it as a 20-over 6.2 and keep as much metal as possible ?

thanks for any opinions

Bore to 6.5, this is the engine to do it with.

Peter is 100% correct. The only thing that beats cubic inches is rectangular dollars (or Euros).

thanks.

I've been looking around and it seems if I want ceramic coated 6.2 pistons they will be custom, so I'll go 6.5 std
