Dr. Lee.
I replaced my mechanical vacuum pump with an electric one out of a volvo. The mechanical one was ticking which drove me crazy. (Even a new one made noise; I put a stub in place of the standard one.) The electric pump works great, but I want to control it with a vacuum switch so that it turns on if the vacuum in the resevoir falls below about -18 inches Hg, and shuts off at about -22 inches. Do you know where I can find such a switch? Asking NAPA returns blank stares as they seem to always need a make, model, engine, and year to find anything. Thanks!

78 Chev,

I looked into pressure and vacuum switches a while back found that Hobbs makes several models. (Click Here) (http://content.honeywell.com/sensing/hss/hobbscorp/catswitch6.asp)

Thanks. The Hobbs looks like the ticket. I'll give them a call today.
