Dr. Lee,
What would be the best repair manual for my 6.2?
I would like to know how to repair and maintain my engine. I am aware of the manuals for sale within this site but which one should I pick up?
I don't think I will need an engine overhaul guide but I would like to be able to go farther than just "check fluids".

The R&R manual from www.TheDieselPage.com (http://www.TheDieselPage.com) is a good basic manual for all types of work.

The best to have is the GM Shop Manual for your year truck. I have the 1984 manual and it has proved to be invaluable for my work. Unfortunately, it is so old that it is out of print, even at Helms. You will have to check eBay, or Amazon and hope to pick one up used.

If not for the copyright laws, I would scan my copy in and sell a .pdf version on disc. But I am not allowed to.
