Dr. Lee,
Factory new long-block 6.5L install. 1984 K5 Blazer, auto transmission. Installed re-built injector pump (local Stanadyne dealer), new injectors, new glow plugs, new injector lines, fresh fuel, new fuel filter, air filter off, no turbo, new starter, 2yr old AC-Delco 78DT batteries (re-charged after each start attempt). > 12oz fuel/15 seconds from lift pump, + fuel to all injectors, usual voltage drop during glow-plug circuit during cycling. Had one occurrence of rpm rise (above normal starter rpm) during first of attempted starts. "Water in Fuel" light comes on after several seconds of starter crank lately. No water came from "water drain" (bottem of fuel filter bracket) and have changed filter-no help.
Haven't taken front cover off yet to re-check timing yet, hoping to avoid that. Appreciate any help.

What fuel pressure are you seeing from the lift pump. Check for restrictions in the return lines and also recheck that the IP is timed correctly.
