water in fuel light

I have a problem with my 02 duramax. The water in fuel light comes on when I start the truck after
sitting all night. After the truck warn up the light goes out. If I stop the truck and restart the light want come back on. I have drained the filter several times. I have added additives the remove the water. I have not gone to the dealer yet. Could the fuel sensor be malfunctioning? help.

Good Day! You might want to post your question on the Duramax 6600 forum. Dr. Lee knows all, but he doesn't own a truck like yours - his is a 1984 C10 with probably the nicest 6.2 ever built. If you post in the 6.5L Turbo Diesel forum, there are a few thousand of us who will see your topic, & hopefully help. ;)
