Anyone interested...I'm considering selling my 86 Silverado 1/2 ton 2wd auto. he has 190,000 miles on him, everything works, AC converted and cold, IP replaced at 180,000 along with injectors and J intake and block heater...trans rebuilt. Interior completely restored, carpet, dash cover, new seat and door panels, factory alloys. Looks good, could all it needs is a paint job...it's oxidized. What's it worth? I have about $5000 invested. I can send pics. When I get the website back up, I'll post that address. I'm just thinking about downsizing and may get a small trailer to pull behind my car, no more than I haul.

Link works. Pretty sweet looking truck! A shame to sell after you put all that work in it!

As you know Gregg, diesel short beds are rare, only about 1,000 made every year (82-87) for Chevy and GMC combined. I should buy it just to have a pair of them :D .

If you don't need the money right away, hold out for a good price. The right buyer (not me) MIGHT, I said MIGHT, pay as much as $10K for this truck. If the compression is good.

I'm not in any hurry, after all, he's my buddy. I'm just trying to downsize a little, don't need 3 vehicles. I've been offered as much as $6000 for it even before I refinished the interior. I haven't checked the compression, but it starts without a hitch and has great pick up. I have a tester, maybe I'll get a wild hair and check it before cold weather sets in. I just thought I'd drip a line on here since we all know and appreciate these trucks. :D
