I have a 1993 Crew Cab 6.5 Turbo Diesel for sale or will part out. I bought this truck used, to use for my business. After I bought it, I didn't get 10,000 miles and the lower motor went out. I bought another new crate motor on the internet from New York, installed it and barely got 35,000 miles on that motor before it seized. I shipped that motor back to the guy I bought it from and he reshipped me a warranty motor to replace it. I didn't get thirty thousand miles before it went out. I don' t want to put any more money in this truck! I've got about $18,000.00 in a truck that still doesn't run. Hope I didn't scare anyone. Any time a part went out or something went wrong, I fixed it or replaced the parts with new parts.
I didn't cut corners when repair work was required. This truck is complete. To describe the condition of the body, I would say I could send you photos via email. As it stands, I have a brand new factory transmission 4L60E Tranny with barely 2,000 miles on it, Turbo with less than 10,000 miles, recent new head job(brand new heads), new radiator, aftermarket cooling, extra core motor (1st motor that came out of the truck) too much to list. Again, right now this truck is complete. It just needs a new owner besides me. Somebody can have this truck as it sits for $4,000.00 or I will part it out. You can e-mail me with questions at http:www.mikedmodesto@aol.com or call me at 209 404 3161. Please understand that if you call and reach my voicemail, I will return your call asap. I check my email twice daily as well. Location of the vehicle is in Modesto, Caifornia. Thanks for the suggestion TRBANKII.

For the benefit of others, was this guy from Brooklyn?

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes, but I've heard other stories like yours. Test Engines, crate engines, take out engines etc, and seldom hear anything good from these guys.

Area code 209 looks like a California number. A little too far for a pickup for me. And shipping heavy parts gets a little tedious...

Truck, I can't see you driving cross country for this CC! :D Especially since 1 hour trips normally take you 1/2 a day!!

Amen on the 1/2 day for an hours worth of trip! :D Anywhere near I-95 from New Hampshire to Richmond Va. is bad for travel almost anytime. Takes me 25-30 minutes to commute to work, thats only 6.5 miles  You do the math. :D

I have gray hairs from that day.

You can walk that distance faster! I hate the NVA beltway traffice and avoid it at all costs.
