This has been hard to deside but I guess I am going to sell the GV that came out of my 95. Comes with everything you need to install including drive shaft. Its set up for a 4L80E with the 241NP transfer case. Drive shaft is for and extended cab long bed. Price is $1800 and I would prefer pickup or meet you some where. I will also be going to the Weekend on the Edge in Salt Lake City. If you want it shiped you will ay the shipping. Unit has about 60K miles on it. My son now has the truck and he didn't want it.

I used it all the time. Even towed in double over and I think it work better. It would shift from 4th over to 3rd over and would pull a little better because the ratio was a litle closer. It was great in double over because rpm would drop so egtand water temp would drop. Not to mention way less engine noise. Pulling a car hauler I would get about 14mpg average, my 26ft 5th wheel would do about 11mpg and solo on the interstate would be 18mpg and that was with 4:10 gears. For the life of me I can't figure out way my son didn't want it.

If anyone here plans to install Greg's GV into a Suburban I can E-mail you a picture of how you need to modify the cross member to make it fit. I've had my sub for over four and a half years and just installed the GV about two months ago. I can't believe I drove the truck without it for all that time.

Good Day!

Methinks your son will live to regret his decision. As for me, you can have my GV when you pry my cold, dead hands off it. ;)

Blessings!

Well he does not towing anything but a small ski boat and he does not get out on the road at high speed much. But I am like you I wouldn't sell it if I had omething to put it in.

Greg
Do hate me for all the questions.
Did you buy new?
When?
What GV p/n?
Does it have all the electronics for the Electronic trans? Yes
How much does it weigh?
Does this also control CT lock up, therefore eliminating the need for a Torque Loc set up?
Do you have all of the manuals?
Thanks

I don't mind the questions but I won't answer now because I think its sold. But it has everything you need including electronics. Don't know the part number I will have to go look.

I've got a 95 with 4.10's with the manual transmission. Terrible newbie but would this unit be right for my truck? C3500 dually with extended cab.

That is what I had was 4:10. You would need a different adapter because yours is 2 wheel drive.

Good Day!

Whitpirate: In your case, it's REALLY good news that your truck is a 95, as is Greg's. The electronics & wiring will all work.

If you're really interested in Greg's GV, call Gear Vendors & they'll tell you exactly what you need. When I bought mine (from a DP member), Gear Venders was extremely helpful. It turned out that the only useful part of the GV I bought was the basic unit itself, but the guy sold it to me so reasonable that the numbers still worked.

Blessings!

Well I've called GV and I'd need a few different parts.....maybe its just time to break down and buy it new, as pricing on this unit+ the new stuff would make it pretty even. If you end up wanting to do some horse trading let me know.

Thanks
Chris.
