Hello Diesel Page
Picked my truck up from Autoworld Sunday. Cameout beautiful. Runs great, sounds even better. Take it in feb. 17th for the perfomance upgrades to bump it up to 305hp and 705 lbs of torq.

IT WASNT CHEAP BUT MAN OH MAN IS IT NEAT!!!!!

I'll get some pictures posted later and you can see for your self. It looks like the factory did it!!!!
Ken and Dawna were great to work with. Ken is a true German master mechanic!!!!

i wanted to do this with my suburban, but how do you connect the ECM, cruise control, fuel pedal, and all the original gauges, is this a problem or can it be done, say if the engine i got was a 2004 cummins 5.9L

KEN CAN MAKE IT ALL WORK. THE COMPUTER CUMMINS IS EASIER TO HOOK UP THAN MY 12 VALVE CAUSE SOME OF THE ELECTRONICS WILL MATCH, BUT ALL STILL WORKS. MY CRUISE CONTROL ONLY IS ON OR OFF, NO RESUME, BUT ALL ELSE WORKS AS FACTORY.
IT REALLY IS A NICE CONVERSION

Dan;

I'm glad that your happy with the truck. Ken does great work and the install IMHO looked first rate. I wish that I was there when you pick it up. (still not back) I would have liked to 1. drive it to see how it handles and...2. Race my L56 against your 5.9 for grins and giggles. ;)

Keep us posted.

ITS not fast feeling like a 6.5, its just has low end torq maxed at 1800 rpm's and runs cold cold cold. No more heating issues!!! It is actually a 175 hp cummins in stock form out of a 97 automatic dodge.
When i have the 65hp fuel plate, 300hp marine injectors and 38lb waste gate put in on the 17th it will be somewhere between 285 and 305hp and 705 lbs of torq. Should wake it up a little. Then ill just enjoy it this summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, lots more tech info.

If you get time of coarse, I'm sure many are interested.

Only two computers on the 12-valve - one if automatic, another if 4-wheel ABS - to '98.

'98.5-up 24v Injection Pump is under electronic-control, but system is easily modified, like the 6.5 DS-4 to DB2-49ll.

'96-'98 12v is 180hp - smaller injector nozzles, slightly retarded timing - and the manual trans version is 215hp.

HEY GMCTD, IS THERE A CUMMINS IN YOUR CHEVY OR DO YOU HAVE IT IN A DODGE? YOUR SLIDE SHOW WAS GREAT

The 6.5L is still resident, Dan, and I am driving a Dodge\Cummins club cab dually.

Congrats on your hybrid.

Believe me - the #10 plate, for 330hp and 750 ftlbs torque, makes for an awesome ride, providing you have Dana 80 running gear to handle it
