Intermittent noise from rear end

On my '03, I've noticed a growling coming from the right rear area. Only noticed while turning right from a stop on dry pavement with no wheel spin. I notice it mainly at the same intersection, however it occurred at another time and place the other day. It is barely noticable and not all the time. The truck only has 25,000 miles. Any suggestions?

Hard to say without more tests. Could be due to the G80 locking rear diff (if equipped), a bad wheel bearing, or loose brake component....

Check the rear diff fluid level, and the various brake components. If OK, jack one wheel at a time, and rotate the tire/wheel while trying to detect any roughness.
