Can anyone provide the torque spec. for the nuts on the leaf spring u-bolts for a 3/4 ton truck?

81 ft. lbs. Wow! I needed a mile long pipe in order to get enough leverage to loosen those things.

IIRC when I swapped in the overloads from a dually on my 97 K3500 SRW CC it was 150ish.

Always use a torque wrench on them don't just run them up with impact because they twist and won't be tight.

Carey Weber, I was thinking of doing the same thing you did.Did you purchase extra leaf springs from a dealer?Does it ride any different?Sometimes I just need a little more capacity than my springs have,and I'm sure the 14 bolt can handle it.I dont know if the frame is any weaker though.
