Just replaced my OEMs with the new 2006 tow mirrors. They are plug and play even though my OEMs did not come with built in turn signals. The truck is pre-wired for this feature even though the OEM mirrors are not. These mirrors are awesome.

I am also thinking of replacing my 2005 mirrors with the new stock 2006 tow mirrors, my existing mirrors are power adjusting, folding and are heated with built in turn signal, do you know if the 2006 mirrors utilize the same plug, and function the same, or do I also need to change the switch and wiring harness.

Thanks for your help, I have been veiwing this site for 1.5 years and this is my first thread. I have found this site to be the best for diesel information, many smart people with great information.

Thanks again for your help.

My guess is that they are interchangeable. The connector plugs on my 2005 mirrors are the same as on the 2006. One black. One blue. The only difference was there were more wires running from the 2006 mirrors to the connector plug for the turn signal feature. All of the posts I've seen on this subject have said they are plug and play.

I've not seen the 2006 mirrors and I couldn't fine them in a quick review of the Chevy site, but they would have to be great mirrors to beat the TTTs I bought a couple years ago. I canm't remember where I bought the things, but I know John Kennedy sells them.

Have a look at the article we did on the 2006 Trucks (http://www.thedieselpage.com/features/2006MY.htm) to see more mirror detail. :)

I have the 03 tow mirrors with heat, power adjust, power extention and turn signal. Is any rewire necessary to replace them with 06s. I know the 06 does not have power extension.
Thanks

Got mine delivered by DHL today - would have been on the truck already but the right mirror mount plastic was smashed

Ordered them from gmpartsdirect.com -- took 10 days from when I ordered untill I received them. They cost $354.84 for the pair shipped.

I Started a claim against DHL - hopefully all should turn out well.

I did test the right one after removing the door panel to get to the wiring. All worked well on my 2005 including directional which my truck didn't have before.

I wonder if these puppies will fit on a 1994? I know there is no wiring for them, I just like the big extendable mirrors. How much are these puppies?
